Intentions, I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams

The Vedic text known as the Upanishads declares “You are what your deepest desire is.  As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.” How true this is!

By setting your intention you can create a specific outcome. You are a powerful being, capable of transforming your thoughts. You can consciously change your environment and cause things to manifest in it by using attention and intention. Form a clear intention of what you desire. Intentions start with a thought followed by an intention, a clear understanding of what you want to have happen then an expectation. You need awareness and intention. Transformation is brought about by the two qualities inherent in consciousness, namely attention or focus and intention.  Attention energises and intention transforms. Your intent is for the future, but your attention is in the present. If your attention is in the present, then your intent for the future will manifest, because the future is created in the present.  What we place our attention on expands in our lives. We can change any situation in our lives by setting an intention and then using attention and focus to bring about the transformation.  You cannot manifest your intentions by wishful thinking or daydreaming. It is more than just passively thinking about your goal. You need to act and think in a manner that permits you to accept and experience what you intend. For example, your intention may be to play the piano. You can wish or daydream about playing beautiful music and nothing will change, or you can focus your attention by learning to read music and practicing diligently each day.

According to Deepak Chopra, an intention is a clear vision of a desired outcome.

To put the law of Intention and desire into effect Deepak Chopra advises that we take the following steps.

  1. Make a list of your intentions.
  2. Read your list often.
  3. Remind yourself to practice present moment awareness in all your actions. Refuse to allow obstacles to dissipate the quality of your attention to your goal. Constantly focus your attention on your intention. (For example, if your intention is to lose weight, ensure that whatever you eat is not sabotaging your goal.)
  4. Relinquish your attachment to the outcome. Enjoy every moment of the journey of your life, even if you do not know the outcome.
  5. Let the Universe handle the details of your intentions. Trust the power of intention to orchestrate all the details for you.

“You must accept the present as it is and intend the future. The future is something you create through detached intention, but you should never struggle against the present. The past, present, and future are all properties of consciousness. Action in the present becomes the fertile ground for the creation of the future. One-pointed intention is that quality of attention that is unbending in its fixity of purpose”. Deepak Chopra.  It means holding your attention to the intended outcome with such unbending purpose that you absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to consume or dissipate the focused quality of your attention. If you use present moment awareness to focus on your intentions, you will find that perceived obstacles disappear and the few that remain can be changed to opportunities.

Once you have learned to harness the power of intention you can create anything you desire. However, you are cautioned to ensure that your intentions are not to the detriment of others.You must use your intent for the benefit of mankind.
